(1) Why does White believe that Christianity is the most anthropocentric religion the world has ever
seen? Drawing upon White’s essay, discuss the ways in which she thinks Judeo-Christian
thinking, together with technological advancements, has led to overexploitation of the
environment.
Please read White’s article “The Historical Roots of Our Ecological Crisis” and answer the following question in 2-3 paragraphs. Do not use any external sources to answer question.
Your answer needs to demonstrate that you read, reflected, and examined the reading(s) for that week. For example, this question needs to have White’s paper as the focus for your response. You should find ways to make connections between the reading and the question. One way to do this is to draw out something the author says that you can then use a point of departure for what you want to say.

In this week’s forum posts I have seen some mistakes in citing quotes within the text. I did not specifically point out errors on posts but will give examples here. Some of you were correct, others were not. Review your posts to see where you fell.
To cite a quote from a source that was cited in another text :
Bennett and Bell went on to quote that young adults also typify “shallowness in reading, lack of critical thinking and naiveté about intellectual property and information authenticity of Internet resources” (Merriam & Bierema, 2014, p. 6).
Bennett and Bell were cited for their information within the textbook by Merriam & Bierema. When writing, introduce the owner of the quote, but cite the source you read it in. See page 10 under Secondary Sources in APA the Easy Way!
When writing a direct quote there are two ways to cite:
Levinson (Bee & Bjorklund, 2004) described a mentor as “ordinarily a male who is 8 to 15 years older” (p.44). or
Levinson described a mentor as “ordinarily a male who is 8 to 15 years older” (Bee & Bjorklund, 2004, p.44).
You have to cite the author as well as the page number. You can not just have a quote with a page number. Review pages 8 and 9 in APA the Easy Way!
You also do not need a page number if you are paraphrasing; you only need the author and year.
Erikson’s stage of generativity reflects on the adult’s primary concern with establishing and guiding the next generation (Bee, Bjorklund, 2004, p. 36). The page number is not necessary; this is not a direct quote. Or, if it is, it must have quotation marks surrounding the quote (exact words).
